It will certainly assist an individual to deal with a simple estate without using the services of a solicitor. The example letters at the back are straightforward and easy to adapt. The writer clearly has used his lengthy experience in this area of the law to excellent effect for the benefit of people who do not possess his legal knowledge and expertise in such matters. It tells you exactly what to do, how to do it, when you might need professional help and comes equipped with specimen letters, useful addresses and a full index. All in all it is excellent value for money and the author is obviously a master of his subject. As stated by others the pro-forma letters are useful. It is written in a style appropriate to its most common readers i.e. the recently bereaved, its easy to read and very inoffensive. Its good on probate & wills, but weak on tax affairs (presumably to aid the books longevity). I bought this book and found it useful when needing this knowledge.
